Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships - Undergraduate/Postgraduate
Applications for the 2008-2009 Rotary Foundation Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships are now available. Ambassadorial Scholarships provide funding for round-trip transportation, tuition and fees, room, board, some educational supplies, and language training (if necessary) up to a maximum award of US $26,000 or its equivalent.
Three types of Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships are offered
Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships provide funding for one academic year of study in another country. Covers round-trip transportation, tuition, fees, room and board expenses, and some educational supplies up to $26,000.
Multi-Year Ambassadorial Scholarshipsare flat grants of $13,000 per year for two years of degree-oriented study in another country.
Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships are for either three or six months of intensive language study and cultural immersion in another country and covers round-trip transportation, language training expenses, and homestay living arrangements from $12,000 (3 months) to $19,000 (6 months).
Candidates must be interested in studying Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, or Swedish.
DeadlineApplications are accepted at club level between March and August.
